Coffee Setup

This is my current manual coffee setup, focused around precision and repeatability for AeroPress brews.

Grinder – Comandante C40

My main grinder is the Comandante C40 Nitro Blade Black hand grinder.

  • Stepless grind adjustment for fine control
  • Consistent particle size, great for AeroPress and other filter brews
  • Manual grinding keeps the workflow calm and intentional

This is the core of my setup – if the grind is right, everything else gets easier.

Brewers

I use two AeroPress brewers:

  • Full-size brewer
  • Great for experimenting with different recipes
  • Ideal for home brews and controlled testing of parameters
  • Compact and portable
  • Perfect for travel, office, or brewing on the go
  • Same basic functionality as the classic, but more compact kit

Both give me the flexibility to brew wherever I want, without sacrificing quality.

I use an Acaia Pearl Scale for accurate dosing and brewing:

  • Measures coffee dose and water weight precisely
  • Fast, stable readings for pouring in real time
  • Essential for repeating recipes and tracking small adjustments

The scale makes it easy to dial in and reproduce my favourite recipes.
