Coffee Introduction
Coffee is one of my favourite daily rituals which contribute to my Self-Sovereignty. I’m not just drinking it for the caffeine; I enjoy the entire process of selecting beans, dialing in the grind, and manually brewing each cup.
Over time I’ve gravitated towards manual brewing methods, with the AeroPress as my main weapon of choice. I like the control it gives over variables such as grind size, brew time, agitation and water temperature, and how quickly I can adjust a recipe to match a new coffee.
I use the AeroPress to experiment with:
- Different brew ratios for body vs. clarity
- Inverted vs. standard methods
- Filter variations (paper vs. metal)
- Water temperature and contact time
